Applying for a Madison Public Library digital card is exciting!

However, if you already have a card from a CLEVNET library — locally this means all Lake and Geauga county libraries and most Ashtabula County libraries — you do not need to apply for a Madison Public Library card. A card in good standing from any CLEVNET library works.

However, there are some services only Madison Public Library cardholders can access. To switch from a card from another CLEVNET library to a Madison card, let us know. We can make that happen!

With your new digital card from Madison Public Library you get:

  • Access to Libby. Get ebooks, e-audios, and magazines. Place holds on hot titles or download content immediately.
  • Access to hoopla. Get 15 audiobooks, comics, movies, or TV episodes each month. But you also get access to the new BingePass with 7 days unlimited access to themed content.
  • Access to freegal. Download 5 free songs a week that you get to keep.
  • Access to LinkedIn Learning. Tons of on-demand courses for continuing education or just to learn something new for fun.
  • Access to NorthStar Digital Learning. Brush up on your computer skills like email, social media etiquette, and Microsoft Office.

Don’t forget, you can get these things from the building at 6111 Middle Ridge Rd as well:

  • Check out hotspots.
  • Check out items from our Library of Things like a snow cone maker, chocolate fountain, or popcorn maker.
  • Check out STEM learning kits for children.
  • Check out driver’s ed cones or cake pans.
  • Check out that movie you wanted to watch on your favorite streaming service that is no longer available.

Your new full-access MPL digital card gives you the option to get materials from 47 library systems in 12 different counties, and it can be delivered to the library building or to the bookmobile.
