My favorite part of story time is seeing the kids all wide-eyed and smiling. I like to use rhyming books in my story times because the children enjoy them. I think kids are pretty cool! They have wonderful imaginations.
When I grow up, I’d like to be a fairy godmother so I can make everyone’s wishes come true. Ms. Frizzle is my favorite book character. If I could read one book at every story time, it would be Mrs. Brown’s Children by Bonnie Books.
The kids’ excitement & sharing a good time with them is the best part of story time. Children are so honest and innocent. I love to use interactive songs in story time. Tony Chestnut is not only funny, it’s a great workout, too!
When I grow up, I want to be a student at Hogwarts because that is where the magic is real. Clever and independent Aunt Nancy is my favorite book character. I could read The Pigeon Wants a Puppy by Mo Willems every week—he’s so dramatic
My favorite part of story time is being able to share my love of reading with the children. I like to use musical instruments, bean bags, and the flannel board during my story times. I love the enthusiasm of the children.
When I grow up, I want to be a mermaid so I can swim with the dolphins, whales, and manatees. I would read Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak at every story time if I could. Max and The Wild Things are my favorite characters.
The best part of story time is singing. I love it when the kids try to sing, but aren’t quite in rhythm yet. No matter what, I love to use songs with hand motions in my story times. Children are uninhibited about sharing their joy and excitement.
When I grow up, I want to be an actor on Sesame Street because I always wanted to live there when I was a kid. Also, I would want to be the princess in Once Upon a Cool Motorcycle Dude. She’s powerful and beautiful at the same time.
